“Support” and not support  for the word does not really do justice to the technical and administrative personnel who were both an essential and integral part of how the Institute developed.  Frankly, support is likely to be the down-fall of flat management structures such as the one we operated as it is often too easy to avoid responsibility and to avoid demands.  This is worth saying only to emphasis how different our “support” was at the institute.

Our “support” was such, and so integrated into our operations, that not a single researcher would be where they are today had it not been for our “support”.  And, in truth, neither would the Institute.
