Colombia was a challenge, although the role of the Institute was much less significant. The first contribution involved bomb sniffing dogs at every mall or parking lot, an armed guard riding in the SUV in Medellin and Calle and a black clad motor biker riding immediately in front of the car, even standing guard outside the airport bathroom. Equally, the energy of the Colombians was tough to keep up with: at the office until 7, then dinner and then most likely the younger folks hit the dance halls until 2 and then…. back in the office by 8:30 am.
Despite that,in six days 5 four-hour seminars were given in cities across Colombia and the relationship with, and support of Liberty International continued to develop.
